Influenced design by an antique Persian Bijar rug using Ushak colors. This rug is woven with all natural plant based dyes and every single of 120 knot per square inch is tied by hand one at a time one row after other with hand-spun wool. Most of our rugs are woven by the Turkmen weaving families in Aqcha Afghanistan. Ethnic Turkmen people of northern Afghanistan are the most oldest and experienced weavers in the world weaving modern and classic design from around the world with modern and many centuries old color combinations. These rugs are made in safe and fair conditions, often in individual family homes with mothers, daughters and grandmothers working side by side.
